I will be giving a work-in-progress talk about my current dissertation work on Linda Lê, a chapter that I have admittedly been struggling through over the past few months, next week on Monday, March 17 at 1:00 pm as part of the French Department’s WiP Series and Spring Visit for admitted graduate students. I’ll be talking about fire, flesh, and meat while drawing from Lévi-Strauss, Barthes, and Anne Cheng to close read a few disturbing moments in Linda Lê’s “Vinh L.” from Les évangiles du crime.
